Meet the Speaker: H. Zimmerman
More than two-thirds of children reportedly have experienced at least 1 traumatic event by age
16, and trauma impacts the way our students show up in the classroom through behavior and
learning challenges. In order for our students to learn they must feel safe, regulated and
connected. This session will provide participants with the knowledge and research-based
strategies they need to cultivate a sense of felt safety in their learning environments through
trauma-informed practices, intentional connections, and brain science.
